Welcome to the MRISA Senior Volleyball tournament organized by the International School of Phnom Penh.
Dear MRISA Athletes and Coaches: This weekend tournament brings together students and coaches from throughout the MRISA region in the spirit of friendship and healthy competition. Our teams have worked very hard to ensure that this tournament will be a positive experience for every participant. |
You will be hosted in the homes of ISPP families and we ask that you remember to be respectful guests in their homes as you are ambassadors for your schools and your own families. There will be curfews in place at each home and we expect you to respect those.
On the court, we expect that all competitors will follow the rules of the game and that any differences of opinions regarding calls will be sorted out by the coaches and tournament supervisors. We expect all athletes to be respectful towards each other, the referees and the coaches. I know that our Athletic Director, Greg Stanton, has put together an excellent program that will keep all the participants very engaged throughout the weekend. I want to thank Greg and his team for all their hard work and to our parents who will be welcoming visitors into their homes. Their commitment and effort is the reason this tournament will be a great success.
The last thing I want to remind our visitors is something you would expect – keep drinking water! You will be competing in the Cambodian heat, and believe me, it will be very hot! Water will be available so keep topping up – you will enjoy the game more.
Enjoy the tournament and reconnecting with your friends from other schools at the first MRISA event of the 2016/17 school year.
Best Regards,
Barry Sutherland
Director
